Updates on the Book
Dear Friends:
Well, there are updates at least! I have been working away every spare minute I have. So far 8 out of 20 patterns are copied, all of the instructions are in, and the pages are formatted. I apologize for the quality of the screen shots, but here is at least an idea of how the inside will look.
Each pattern has a Challenge rating: Easy, Moderate or Complex, Sewing Skills, Features, Measurements, Materials, Seam Allowance and Notes section right up front. The pages following will include any scans of instructions if there are any, with clear typewritten instructions on the same page. Then the patterns will be included. I am estimating when done, there will be at least 75 pages of spiral bound material! Whew!
My next steps are to finish copying the patterns (thank goodness it's not my full-time job....my chiropractor wouldn't approve!) get them scanned in to the appropriate size, secure the ISBN#, copyrights and bar code and then it's to press for a proof, some final editing, and then to you for sale.
As Grandma used to say, "if the good Lord's willing and the creek don't rise", I hope to have them ready for sale by mid-September, giving everyone time to purchase the pattern books as gifts, or to purchase them in time to sew those aprons for holiday gifts!
